Winner of Miss Preston and Miss England, Elizabeth Mary Grant from Ribbleton in Preston, visited us recently for a relaxing Spa Break. The 21 year-old treated her Mum, Catherine, to a luxury pamper stay at The Spa Hotel and was eager to tell us what they thought…
The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village is such a beautiful place and with it being down the road from where my mother and I live, we were shocked to have never been before! It is like nothing I have ever seen before, and I have been to many spas as apposed to my mother, this was her first spa day. The staff from the moment we got there and were greeted with such friendly hospitality it was quite overwhelming. Evidently we got lost (as Ribby Hall Village is huge!) we were greeted twice with the exact same smiles and eagerness to help us.
The whole aesthetic just screams tranquil; you can’t help but deep breathe and just relax. With my mum working so hard, especially over the past month for my birthday and myself up and down the country every week you kind of forget to schedule in some TLC. I didn’t know I needed this trip as much as I did. The treatments just left me in a sense of serenity. The seaweed wrap is the first one I’ve ever had and it was an experience from start to finish – absolutely impeccable. How can I be knotted in muscles I didn’t even think I had?
The hot stones treatment is a special one. I do occasionally treat myself to a hot stones massage as I know I enjoy it, but I’ve not had a hot stones massage like The Spa Hotel’s Hot Stone Massage. They use deliciously fragranced oils and sublime methods of touch. It just got every (excuse me knowledge on the subject!) nook and cranny of my body! I felt so relaxed afterwards I couldn’t string a sentence together!
This evening was fabulous as it was topped off by a lovely meal accompanied by a raspberry mojito which (thinking about it now) is just making me smile. The food was delightful! The lamb meat fell of the bone, beautiful. The staff attended to our needs and I felt pampered beyond belief.
I know when I plan my next spa day I will most definitely be coming back to The Spa Hotel; thank you for letting me experience it in it’s full glory. Myself and my mother have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it has created a special memory we can always share.
