Fall in Love

by Guest - 19th September 18

As the memories of a hot summer are fading to a crisper climate, we welcome chunky knit jumpers and nights in front of a roaring log fire. Autumn is often associated with change. From the changing of the season and the leaves on the trees, it’s the perfect time to say ‘I Do’.

Whilst the temperatures have cooled, Autumn brings with it a gorgeous palette of warm, rich tones. An array of striking orange shades look stunning when paired with muted red and brown hues and a chosen scheme of colours can be used throughout the day to tie all elements together.

For beautiful bouquets & floral arrangements, incorporating more neutral tones such as sage can balance out the vibrancy of some Autumnal colours. On-trend eucalyptus or ruscus do this perfectly by adding a serene softness. Autumn is also the perfect time to include the Pantone Colour of the Season into the mix. The Ultra Violet shade creates a pop of colour in photographs when worn by Bridesmaids or gives a rich, romantic feel when featured within your decor.

Autumnal Decor

The cooler days and darker evenings bring memories of cosy evenings, spent under warm snug blankets. This same imagery fits perfectly with seasonal weddings. An abundance of pillar candles & lanterns creates a romantic atmosphere and adding plenty of fairy lights guarantees an intimate ambience.

Taking inspiration from Bonfire Night and Halloween is a great way to include a nod to the time of year. Pumpkins, fallen leaves and sparkler photographs are subtle ways to feature the festivities in your wedding. Adding textures such as hessian, earthy wood and leaves brings the outdoors in to your decor in an understated way.

Hearty Fare

As the summer sun draws in, harvest festivals signal the beginning of Autumn and with it comes an array of seasonal ingredients to incorporate into your menu. Seasonal produce is a chef’s dream to work with, looking for new and exciting ways to add a variety of flavours and textures to a dish. Our Wedding Breakfast menu includes a diverse offering of meals such as locally sourced Lamb Shank with mash, root vegetable hotpot (our take on a Lancashire staple!) and a delicious jus. Our carvery option is the perfect choice for a relaxed affair with a selection of meat joints, hand carved by our chefs and served with all the trimmings. It’s perfect, hearty fare to warm your guests on a cooler afternoon!
