‘Tis the season for mulled wine, mince pies, mistletoe and of course, the Christmas party!
With the summer months over and September passing by very quickly, Christmas is well underway here at Ribby Hall Village. Whilst you are planning your Christmas outfit or thinking about what Christmas socks to buy Grandad, we are busy planning our exciting Christmas Party Nights – which are starting in November!
Top Tips for Booking your Christmas Party
Assign a Coordinator
Not everyone likes the take on the responsibility of the Christmas Party, but this is a crucial part of the entire booking process. The coordinator will be responsible of sourcing the venue, gathering deposits, collecting pre-orders and arranging transportation among other things. Some companies even choose to have a Christmas committee so the task isn’t left just to one person.
Having a coordinator means that things stay simple, helping to make planning your Christmas Party a breeze!
Choose your date early
Remember that many venues fill up their Christmas slots months before December, so it’s never too early to think about your workplace’s yuletide festivities. If you haven’t done so already, be sure not to let September pass without giving your plans some serious thought.
Choose a Unique Venue
After a long, hard year of being busy in the office, it is always nice to take your guests out of the working environment by choosing a venue which offers excellent food, great location and matches your budget. Be sure to choose a location which allows guests to easily get home when the night has finished, or if you are going for a remote location you could always put on coaches to make sure your guests have transportation organised on the night.
Send invites
Send out an invite to all your guests/colleagues to find out who is interested in attending the Christmas Party, some guests may be unable to attend so it is important to find this out as early as possible to help you choose the right Christmas Party for you.
Deposit planning
Now this can sometimes be the hardest part, but it doesn’t have to be! Schedule the deposits to coincide with the monthly paycheck so your guests have no excuses not to pay up!
Send your menus early
Give your guests plenty of time to choose their menu by sending out the options as early as possible. A great tip is to create a new email account and asking your guests to send their responses to the email address given by a certain date so you can keep all the information together.
The final tip is the make sure you have a fabulous night; as long as everything is organised in advance you can sit back and dance the night away!
