One of the most creative teams within the Wedding department is our extremely talented brigade of Chefs! They work so hard to create the most amazing dishes for each and every couple and their guests.
Here our Head Chef Chris, Junior Sous Chef Nichola and Chef de Partie Milo, talk about the team, how they come up with new ideas and give a sneak peek into the new 2017 wedding menus….
The process for the new wedding menus began in January 2016 and is still on-going to this day. We spend a lot of time discussing options in our planning meetings and thinking carefully about what dishes are going to please our clients, whilst considering what we would like to eat if we were attending a wedding here. The kitchen team enjoy being imaginative, creative and producing innovative ideas. We believe that continuous learning helps us create that evoke thought and creativity.
The initial task was for all chefs to come up with a dish using specific ingredients (in the style of Master Chef), which creates a healthy competition within the kitchen environment. We include fresh vegetables grown in our very own Ribby Hall Village Garden and quality ingredients from local suppliers, whilst aiming to keep all dishes simple yet tasty.
We then cooked all the dishes and presented them to the wedding team for their thoughts and constructive feedback. This process was over a few weeks and was very well received. We had a great sense of pride with this task and it was great to showcase our talents to the team who plan the weddings and serve the wedding breakfast on the day.
Whilst we are proud of all of our dishes, we often thrive in creating new and bespoke menus for couples who fancy something a little different. This inspires the team to think of new ideas that will suit the clients on an individual basis. Nothing is impossible here at Ribby!
Every chef in our kitchen is passionate, we care about the food we are serving and want to ensure the couples experience a meal they will not forget in a hurry.
Above all our team are great friends and work well together. Every single chef has a big part to play and we look forward to welcoming all future couples to try our new menus.
