We’re starting 2020 with a spring in our step, having just been awarded a Five Star rating from Visit England for the eleventh consecutive year.
We had a two day assessment visit late last year when our whole operation was scrutinised, from reception and accommodation to restaurants, sports facilities and general ambiance. Every single area received a fabulous five-star score!
Assessors were particularly impressed with cleanliness and general maintenance of The Village, describing our accommodation as spotlessly clean, and with the number of dog friendly cottages available, now 17. They praised the quality and choice of restaurants, children’s activities and sports facilities, as well as the friendly helpfulness of all our staff.
Obviously, we’re delighted, but we’re certainly not sitting back. As our Chief Executive Paul Harrison, says: “If we want to maintain our five-star rating year on year, we have to keep on improving our facilities and offering more choices for both holiday guests and day visitors.”
Blend Coffee House
So, we have some very exciting plans for 2020. You may already know that we’re creating a new coffee shop, to replace the Starbucks outlet in the Health Club. Blend Coffee House will offer premium quality barista coffee and a range of food to eat in or ‘grab and go’.
NEW Adventure Golf Course
We’ll shortly begin work on a new family adventure golf course, to be built next to the Terrazza restaurant and overlooked by a new outdoor bar on the restaurant terrace. This much anticipated new family attraction will open in June 2020 and promises to be hugely popular with all our visitors.
Reeds Bay
And, of course, work will continue to complete our ambitious Reeds Bay development, a woodland bordered setting which covers over 20 acres and will feature its own lake. Reeds Bay will be home to 20 of the most prestigious holiday homes (for purchase) available anywhere in the UK. Some of these new homes are already here with other properties arriving throughout 2020.
