The season of mists and mellow fruitfulness – that’s how the poet Keats famously described autumn, a time of changing temperatures and harvests to be reaped. At The SPA Hotel, we’re sure our autumn spa breaks and autumn spa treatments will leave you feeling very mellow indeed.
Aqua Thermal Journey
The Aqua Thermal Journey, our two-hour sensory spa experience, is guaranteed to give our spa customers an autumn glow, melting away the excesses of summer and preparing body and mind for the coming season.
As the temperatures cool outside, the saunarium and aroma room between them raise the body temperature and prepare it for the detoxification process. Skin is softened and cleansed, whilst lavender oils, reminiscent of summer, help the body to relax.
The mists of the aroma steam room and the Balinese salt inhalation room are perfect for a post-festival detox or to soothe sun-affected skin, drawing out toxins, relaxing joints and hydrating the skin.
Feet are given an autumn boost in the Foot Spa on the Aqua Thermal Journey, which soothes overworked feet whilst stimulating the reflexology points to help improve blood circulation. The scented herbal sauna provides comfort for aching muscles.
When it comes to feeling mellow, a dip in the warm, bubbling water of the Hydrotherapy Pool will also loosen tense muscles, improve skin and muscle tone and help to boost the immune system.
Zen Garden
Finally, a visit to the Zen Garden at the end of the Aqua Thermal Journey, offers the opportunity to bask in an outdoor hot tub whilst marvelling at the stunning autumn colours of the surrounding Lancashire countryside.
Mud Rasul
For an extra autumn spa detox, our Rasul Mud Chamber is a unique experience, perfect for sharing with a partner or friend. Harvested from the glaciers of the Austrian Alps, the mud is 100% natural and, once applied to the skin, it draws out impurities, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin.
