Your Guide to Wedding Entertainment

by Guest - 16th July 18

One of the many considerations when planning a wedding is how to entertain the guests. There are so many options to choose from and we are lucky enough to work with some fantastic, local suppliers who all offer different entertainment ideas….

The Music

One of the more popular choices for entertainment is a singer or a band. You may opt for gentle background music for the drinks & canapés, then perhaps something a little more upbeat later on. Having a singer during the wedding breakfast can completely transform the atmosphere and can add a real fun element to the proceedings. Then for the evening, it’s party time and what better way to dance the night away than having a band to make sure all your guests are up on their feet!

Games

If you have decided to invite children to your wedding, it is always a good idea to have something to keep them entertained during important parts of the day such as the photographs and the speeches.

Children love to play, so why not add some fun with giant games or teepees. They can be set up right from the start of the day and remain there until the end of the evening, providing fun for everyone!

Casino

A great way to entertain the adults is with casino tables.  Your guests can have the choice of putting all their chips on the red or black in an exciting game of Roulette or to attempt to beat the croupier with a hand of Black Jack. Let the competition begin, as the guest with the most chips at the end will take home a nice bottle of bubbly as a reward.

A popular time to book casino tables is after the wedding breakfast, leading into the evening reception, giving your day guests some fun before the party starts and then they can hit the dance floor when the evening guests arrive.

Other entertainment ideas

And finally, entertainment ideas with an element of interaction for the day and evening are always a popular choice.

Consider a Magician who can wow your guests with an unexplainable assortment of tricks, or a Caricaturist who can turn anyone’s face into an amusing cartoon or the more modern Selfie Mirror, perfect to capture images of all your guests throughout the evening (with the odd prop making an appearance too!)

Whichever entertainment you choose, it’s sure to be a hit with your guests!
